PURPOSE: A method for remotely controlling an IP(Internet Protocol) terminal using a COM(Component Object Model)/DCOM(Distributed Component Object Model) is provided to secure reliability for telephone calls and to efficiently utilize memory resources of a PC by enabling a caller to execute a receiver's IP terminal in a remote place, even though the receiver does not load an H.323 stack to the memory. CONSTITUTION: If terminal A(10) makes a telephone call to terminal B(20), the COM subsystem(11-14) of terminal A(10) searches for the computer of terminal B(20) through an RPC(Remote Procedure Call) using a previously registered IP address or a host name. Then the COM subsystem(11-14) of terminal A(10) looks for the location of the object of terminal B(20) from the registry of the searched remote computer. Then the COM subsystem(11-14) of terminal A(10) makes the terminal B object executed.
