PURPOSE: A functional health food product obtained by adding yeast for enhancing bacterial viability in the human stomach and intestinal tract to lactic acid bacteria, bifidus bacteria and saccharification enzymes is provided which is expected to be particularly effective in preventing diarrhea, suppressing generation of toxic or carcinogenic substances and reducing generation of ammonia gas or hydrogen sulfide. CONSTITUTION: This functional health food contains 2 to 10% by weight of yeast, 3 to 30% by weight of lactic acid bacteria, 3 to 30% by weight of bifidus bacteria and 2 to 15% by weight of saccharification enzymes and 5 to 15% by weight of dextrin, dietary fiber, oligosaccharide, vitamin, mineral or other physiologically active substances.
