PURPOSE: A pre-treatment system for municipal solid waste is provided, which is characterized in that organic waste of commingled municipal solid waste is separated according to physical properties in the pre-treating system. Also organic waste is fermented biologically in the system. Fermented garbage could be used as fertilizer. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the following parts: a pre-treating system(10) for separating recyclable garbage, and crushing organic waste for improving fermentation efficiency; a reduction system(20) for fermenting crushed organic waste aerobically with mixing; and a product separating system(30) for separating fermented organic waste and landfill garbage.
