PURPOSE: Provided is a catalyst composition for promoting the reaction speed at low temperature under normal pressure during the thermal decomposition of waste synthetic resin to decompose the waste resin within a short time and extract volatile oil with a high octane number and light oil. It has an effect on converting waste material to a high quality energy source and reduces environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: This catalyst composition is introduced into a melting furnace with waste synthetic resin in a ratio of resin to catalyst of 1:4 to 5/1,000 during the thermal decomposition of waste synthetic resin under normal pressure at 400deg.C or less and comprises Mg3(Si4O10)(OH)2:40% by weight, SiC:15% by weight, AlO(Al2O3):10% by weight, MgO:15% by weight and SiO2:20% by weight.
