WATER SOLUBLE HIGH STRENGTH BINDER FOR POWDER INJECTION MOLDING

PURPOSE: A water-soluble high intensity binder for powder injection molding, having improved intensity and shape-maintaining ability is provided, therefore the binder can be easily removed by using not organic solvent but water, and a powder injection mold having high intensity and high size accuracy can be produced. CONSTITUTION: The water-soluble high intensity binder for powder injection molding, having improved intensity and shape-maintaining ability comprises 20 to 40 wt.% of cellulose acetate butyrate and 60 to 80 wt.% of polyethyleneglycol, wherein the cellulose acetate butyrate has 20 mol% or more of butyrate; the cellulose acetate butyrate has improved intensity due to its cellulose ring structure, furthermore, more higher intensity when it is mixed with ethyleneglycol, and improved shape-maintaining ability after removing the binder from the molds; and the polyethyleneglycol has a molecular weight of 1,500 to 20,000.
