PURPOSE: A recording medium and a method for optimizing the vessel schedule of a container terminal are provided for shortening the arrival time of a ship, for the new model and optimized algorithm for determining the arrival time and place of every ship by considering the place where the container is located. CONSTITUTION: The recording medium receives the preferred arrival place of every ship according to the data and equipment state of every ship(S1). The recording medium determines the arrival time and place generating the lowest cost of each ship without considering the other ship(S2). The recording medium calculates the use cost of the vessel per time through a sub-gradient optimization technique(S3). For determining if the use cost of vessel is optimized, the recording medium checks if the calculated result is converged by the specified conditions(S4).
