PURPOSE: A device and a method for converting Internet contents for a wireless Internet are provided to convert an image or contents in real time for displaying the same screen, which is displayed on the Internet, on a wireless terminal by requesting data in the wireless terminal without creating data for a wireless Internet additionally in a web server when a wireless Internet is used. CONSTITUTION: A browser recognition unit(11) recognizes a kind of a browser by a page request of an HTTP(Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). A page conversion unit(12) transmits a format of the original page to a corresponding port according to a result recognized in the browser recognition unit(11). An image conversion unit(13) is connected to the browser recognition unit(11) and the page conversion unit(12) and converts an image into an image format adapted to a color expression level and a resolution available in a wire/wireless terminal. In addition, a cache buffer is provided for storing a variation result of a page which is frequently requested from a user.
