PNA Signal power control method for internet access based on Home PNA specification

PURPOSE: A method for controlling transmit power for home PNA(Phoneline Networking Alliance) technology-based Internet service is provided to minimize an excessive signal attenuation or a transfer error by an excessively big signal by transferring data after automatically selecting high power or low power according to line length. CONSTITUTION: In case that the link state of a concentrator is on, the concentrator measures the peak level and noise level of a received signal(4-5) and executes the first stage power control(4-6). In the first stage power control, if the peak level of the received signal is larger than an upper threshold, the concentrator determines the strength of a transmitting signal as a low power value. If the peak level of the received signal is smaller than a lower threshold, the concentrator determines the strength of the transmitting signal as a high power value. After executing the first stage power control, the concentrator executes the second stage power control in order to adjust a received power level to a target level(4-7).
