Combined technique of PCMCIA WLAN card and PCMCIA memory storage device

PURPOSE: A method for combining a PCMCIA WLAN(Wireless LAN) card and a PCMCIA flash memory storage unit is provided to seek convenience in carrying by integrating independent and separate devices into one and to install a PCMCIA WLAN card installation file in a computer without using the CD-ROM by previously storing the file in a PCMCIA memory device. CONSTITUTION: A PCMCIA WLAN card and PCMCIA flash memory storage unit(102) is connected to a computer(23) comprising a PCMCIA port through a parallel bus(21). Then the PCMCIA WLAN card and PCMCIA flash memory storage unit(102) is divided into two function blocks through an internal PCMCIA controller(28). In a WLAN block, a signal is transferred to a WLAN MAC(15) through a PCMCIA interface(20). The WLAN MAC(Media Access Controller)(15) processes the signal, and the processed signal is connected to an AP(Access Point) via an IEEE 802.11 radio part(2). In a PCMCIA memory device, data are forked through the PCMCIA controller(28). The forked data are stored in a NAND flash memories(24) through an input-output controller(26) and a flash adapter memory controller(25) via a PCMCIA interface(27).
