PURPOSE: A dump truck of a rear dump type is provided to improve the work efficiency of transporting work by reducing the weight of the empty vehicle, to reduce the frequency of a brake down of parts, and to improve safety of dumping. CONSTITUTION: In a dump truck composed of a vehicle unit(10) and a loading compartment(20), a connecting rod(31) is coupled in the of the vehicle unit and the base of the loading compartment with hinged. A dumping-rotation unit(50) is installed at the base of the rear side of the hinged part with the connecting rod of the loading compartment. The dumping-rotation unit has a vehicle wheel unit(40) supporting the loading compartment. The dumping-rotation unit makes the loading compartment rotate with inclination, with coupled with the vehicle wheel unit by a dumping shaft(42). A strut(60) is installed at the base of the connecting rod to support the front of the loading compartment when the loading compartment is separated from the loading compartment. The weight of the empty vehicle is reduced with light connecting constitution and the work efficiency of transporting work is improved.
