PURPOSE: A method for allocating the storing space by each item of the PIM(Personal Information Manager) on a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) having a PIM function, a recording medium for the same and the PDA thereof are provided to set a record number of each item according to the user's definition and to allocate the storing space for each item freely according to the record number. CONSTITUTION: The user inputs the record number of each PIM item. A starting address of a memory block for each PIM item is calculated by referring to record size of each PIM item and the inputted record number. The continuous memory blocks for each PIM item are allocated as much as the products of the record size and the record number from the calculated starting address of each PIM item.
