PURPOSE: A serial communication interface for controlling an entrance and exit having wiegand signal automatically generating device and a method for managing an entrance and exit controlling system using the interface are provided to receive a fixed signal being generated in a smart card, generate a wiegand signal through a wiegand signal automatically generating device, and transmit the signal to a control unit for controlling an entrance and exit by mounting the wiegand signal automatically generating device in a serial communication interface for controlling an entrance and exit. CONSTITUTION: A smart card(1) stores personal data of a card user and authorized contents to an entrance door. An antenna unit(2) is provided for transmitting all personal signals transmitted in the smart card(1) to a smart card interface module(3). The smart card interface module(3) checks the personal signals received in the antenna unit(2) by a communication with a microprocessor(7) and transmits the signals to a wiegand signal automatically generating device(5). The wiegand signal automatically generating device(5) stores an assembler program using a 8-bit CMOS EEPROM micro controller, automatically converts the personal signal into a wiegand signal, and transmits the signal to an entrance and exit controller(6). The entrance and exit controller(6) searches the transmitted wiegand signal in data stored in an internal memory and embodies an entrance and exit authority.
