PURPOSE: Provided is a far infrared emitting composition, being applicable to mattress, pillow and cushion, which has the effects of health promotion, deodorization and sterilization by mixing quartz porphyry as a main material, quartz, alumina, Au, Ag, etc. CONSTITUTION: The composition is prepared by the following steps of: mixing 25wt.% of quartz porphyry, 10wt.% of quartz, 10wt.% of alumina, 10wt.% of silica, 10wt.% of NaOH, 5w.% of Au and 5wt.% of Ag; adding 0.1-0.3wt.%(based on the mixture) of pigment; heating to 1300-1400deg.C for melting; pouring the melt into a mold for hardening in a certain shape; re-heating at 500deg.C.
