PURPOSE: To provide a new method for preventing the cissing of a coating material, wherein a cissing preventive agent containing no acrylic resin is used, and which can give more chances of adding a cissing preventive agent to a coating material and can provide a higher degree of freedom in the process for producing a coating material, and to obtain a cissing preventive agent. CONSTITUTION: In the method for preventing the occurrence of cissing on a coating film formed by a process including the step of applying an electrodeposition coating on an object and the step of baking the electrodeposition coating film, the electrodeposition coating is performed by using a composition containing an additive comprising an aminopolyether-modified epoxy compound having a polyether chain of a specified structure.
