One hand keyboard key recognition method therein and hangul key recognition method therein

PURPOSE: A one hand operable keyboard, its key recognition method and Hangul character input method are provided to split a conventional two-hand operable keyboard into two one-hand operable keyboards which are foldable, and have overlapped keys of each other. CONSTITUTION: The keyboard comprises a left keyboard(1), a right keyboard(2), a connector(3) and key protection plates(7). The left keyboard(1) and the right keyboard(2) have the same function and internal structure, are independently operated by one hand, and can be used like a conventional two-hand operable keyboard if they are combined. All the character keys are arranged as primary keys on the left keyboard(1) and the right keyboard(2) based on a key arrangement of the conventional two-hand operable keyboard. Keys of one keyboard are also arranged as supplementary keys on the other keyboard, namely the left keyboard(1) and the right keyboard(2) have the keys of each other. The left keyboard(1) and the right keyboard(2) are hinged so that back sides of the two keyboards(1,2) face each other when the two keyboards get folded. The method for recognizing keys in the one-hand operable keyboard, comprises steps of determining if an operator pushes a conversion key for switching a primary key input mode to a supplementary key input mode or vice versa, and outputting a corresponding key scan code according as the operator pushes the conversion key or not.
