PURPOSE: A method and a system for the remote monitoring and controlling of a sewage treatment facility by using a security system are provided to safely and efficiently manage a sewage treatment facility by remotely controlling the sewage treatment facility and to reduce the labor and cost of the management of the sewage treatment facility. CONSTITUTION: A field system(10) collects the state data of plural sewage treatment facilities(12), transmits the collected state data to a central management system(30), and controls the sewage treatment facilities. The central management system displays the state data of the sewage treatment facilities and transmits the control data inputted by a manager to the field system. A client system(50) provides the manager with the information about the state of the sewage treatment facilities displayed by the central management system and transmits the control data inputted by the manager to the central management system. The data are transmitted and received through the Internet or a communication network(40).
