A method for designing Infinite Impulse Response filter supporting multi-standards

PURPOSE: A method for designing an IIR(Infinite Impulse Response) filter supporting a multi-standard is provided to minimize a degree of complexity by using a predetermined mathematical expression for measuring the degree of complexity to design the IIR filter. CONSTITUTION: An IIR filter design method supports a multi-standard including the first standard and the second standard. A total degree of complexity is reduced by using the IIR filter method instead of an FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter method. In the designing process of the IIR filter, the same polynomial expression is frequently used by adding a conditional term. The IIR filter has a structure including a CSD(Canonical Signed Digit) coefficient. The IIR filter cane be designed by using only 10 adders and 5 delayers. The linearity of the IIR filter is maintained by adding a predetermined conditional term.
