PURPOSE: An iris recognition system using a movement recognition system is provided to obtain a stable iris image of the same size by a simple composition, that is, using one camera having a movement recognition system. CONSTITUTION: A camera unit(20) performs a digital signal process of an iris image to be recognized, receives the processed signal, calculates a size of the iris image to be recognized, calculates a direction and a distance of the iris image to be recognized in accordance with the calculated signal, performs a zoom and focusing in accordance with the calculation result, and photographs the iris image as the same size. An analyzing unit(21) analyzes the iris image photographed from the camera unit(20). Elements of the camera unit(20) are described as follows. A CCD unit converts an iris image to be recognized into an electric signal, and performs a zoom and focusing of the iris image to be recognized in accordance with a control unit. A CDS(Correlated Double Sampling)/AGC(Auto Gain Control) unit performs a double sampling of a signal being output in the CCD unit and performs an automatic gain control. An ADC(Analogue Digital Converter) unit converts an analogue signal being output in the CDS/AGC unit into a digital signal. The first DSP(Digital Signal Processor) unit performs a signal process of the digital signal being output in the ADC unit. The second DSP unit calculates a size of an iris image to be recognized from the signal processed in the first DSP unit. A control unit calculates a direction and a distance of the iris image in accordance with the signal calculated in the second DSP unit and controls the zoom and focusing of the CCD unit.
