Method of using and treating the natural enemy for controlling the pest of stored products

PURPOSE: A method of obtaining an excellent controlling effect on an insect pest through killing of a target pest such as grasping the target pest, artificially mass-producing after selecting effective natural enemy to the insect pest and then spraying on the stored food or a pest-generating source is provided. Therefore, adverse effects caused by chemical controlling or expression of resistance thereto are avoided, and the economical efficiency and easiness of pest control are achieved. CONSTITUTION: For pest control, a target pest causing damage to stored food is grasped, effective natural enemy to the insect pest is selected from parasitoids which parasitize larvae of the target pest, the selected natural enemy is artificially mass-produced by growing the larvae under conditions of a temperature of 28 to 30deg.C and a relative humidity of 70 to 80%, and then the produced effective enemy is sprayed onto the stored food or a pest-generating source in the vicinity of storage facilities in a state of larvae or imagoes. The target pest is Ephestia cautella, Plodia interpunctella and Paralipsa gularis, and the natural enemy is Bracon hebetor.
