PURPOSE: Recombinant human lactoferrin prepared by using insect cells and a preparation process thereof are provided, thereby easily preparing a large quantity of lactoferrin. CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing the recombinant human lactoferrin using insect cells comprises the steps of: combining a transfer vector(1) with a recombinant plasmid phLf-8 to prepare a recombinant expression vector pBacLf(3) in which a lactoferrin gene is regulated by a polyhedrin promoter within a vector pBacPAK; cotransfecting the recombinant expression vector pBacLf(3) with a help vector pBacPAK6(4) to a insect cell Sf9(5) to prepare a recombinant insect cell Sf-Lf(6) and preparing a recombinant insect virus from the recombinant insect cell; and preparing human lactoferrin from the recombinant insect cell Sf-Lf(6).
