The present invention relates to a strain of Paecilomyces fumosoroseus SFP-198, an insect pathogenic fungus isolated from Korean soil, a microbial insecticide comprising the same, and a method for controlling pine needles and pests using the same. In the present invention, the strain of Pesylomyces fumosorusus SFP-198 shows strong pathogenicity against pine needles flies, but does not show pathogenicity for silkworms useful as industrial insects, and has excellent growth and pathogenicity even at low temperatures. Therefore, it can be usefully used as a microbial insecticide for pine needles flies and pest control.
