PURPOSE: An installation method of device for preventing leakage of cooling water of cooling rolls for twin roll type strip caster, and a device for preventing leakage of cooling water of the cooling rolls for the twin roll type strip caster are provided to prevent cooling water supplied to cool twin rolls in the strip cater from being leaked. CONSTITUTION: In a siphon tube(7) for supplying cooling water into rolls of a twin roll strip caster, and a seal housing(8) by which cooling water passing through the siphon tube(7) is not leaked, but passes through cooling water hole to smoothly cool the rolls, and on the outer circumferential surface of which an O-ring is mounted, the device for preventing leakage of cooling water of cooling rolls for the twin roll type strip caster is characterized in that a screw part(19) is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the siphon tube(7) in front of the seal housing(8), a seal carrier(11) on the rear part of which a plurality of female grooves(11a) are formed is coupled to the screw part(19), a plurality of grand packings(12) are inserted to the outer circumferential surface of the seal carrier(11), and a seal carrier assembling wheel(14) at the front of which a protrusion(16) coupled to the female grooves(11a) is formed, wherein the seal carrier assembling wheel(14) presses the seal carrier(11) from the outer circumferential surface of the siphon tube(7) as the handle(15) is being rotated.
