PURPOSE: A method for producing a bearing steel rod wire for a ball having an excellent fatigue life is provided to reduce the size of Cr carbide of high hardness by performing a high temperature diffusion process in a billet rolling process. CONSTITUTION: A bloom is uniformly heated for more than five hours at 1280 to 1300 deg. C and then billet-rolled. Next, the bloom is heated at a temperature of 1100 to 1150 deg. C and then looped. Continually, the bloom is taken up at a temperature of 820 to 850 deg. C and then cooled up to a temperature of 600 to 630 deg. C at a speed of 4 to 8 deg. C/sec. Then, the bloom is annealed by a general method.
