The present invention relates to an OSD cursor display method and an OSD image display device. In particular, the method of the present invention initially transmits information indicating presence or absence of own cursor display data from a display device to an OSD source. When the OSD cursor is to be transmitted to the controller, the OSD source checks information indicating whether or not the own cursor display data exists and determines whether the display device has its own cursor display data. And transmitting only the cursor display position information when it is determined that the data has been detected, and displaying its own cursor display data at the cursor display position received by the display device.;Therefore, in the present invention, since only the cursor display position information is transmitted from the OSD source to the display device, the processing speed is increased, and thus the position movement time is increased when the cursor is moved on the screen, thereby facilitating the movement of the cursor.
