The present invention discloses an electrical control system device and method using a digital circuit to control refrigerant flow through a cooling system to increase efficiency and extend component life. The method consists of the refrigerant temperature measuring step, the ambient temperature measuring step and the refrigerant amount controlling step. The control system comprises a reversing valve means, an expansion valve means, ambient temperature measuring means refrigerant temperature measuring means, and a processor means.
