TECHNIQUE OF SAFE HANDLING OF RADIOACTIVE RADIATION SOURCES WHILE CONDUCTING GEOPHYSICAL STUDIES OF HOLES AND GEAR FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION

FIELD: geophysical examination of holes with use of radioactive sources. SUBSTANCE: separable rod of down-hole logging instrument is charged by radiation source in advance, is placed into container and transported to working site in package shipping container. Container has special split cover that is simultaneously used as protective screen of distant instrument with radioactive source. EFFECT: reduced number of manipulations for removal of radiation source out of container and for its installation into down-hole logging instrument, raised protection of attending personnel, diminished radiation background while radiation source is stored or transported. 7 cl, 2 dwg
