FIELD: laser engineering oxygen- iodine lasers. SUBSTANCE: method includes counterflow reaction between gaseous chlorine and alkali solution of hydrogen peroxide under desired operating conditions. Reaction length of chlorine-containing jets L is found from equation , where m is number of sections on chlorine-to-solution reaction length on which jet surfaces are fully regenerated by HO-2ions; is volumetric flowrate of solution; d is diameter of injector nozzles; N is number of injector nozzles; τr is time of jet surface regeneration by HO2 ions; specific surface area of phase contact σ is found from equation σ = πxNxd/[S-(πxNxd2)/4], where S is cross-sectional area of reaction zone.
