FIELD: catalysts and methods of production of oxide catalysts used in processes of deep oxidation of organic compounds and carbon monoxide in gaseous effluents of industrial plants. SUBSTANCE: catalyst includes oxides of chromium, copper, and aluminum oxide with additional compound containing at least one compound of element from groups: alkali and alkali-earth metals, silicon, iron in amount of 0.01-2.0 wt.%. Catalyst includes in terms of oxides, wt.%: chromium oxide, 5-25; copper oxide, 5-25; aluminum oxide, the balance with at least one additional compound of element from group including alkali or alkali-earth metals, silicon, iron in amount of 0.01-2.0 wt. %. Methods (versions) of production of said catalyst are described. The first method consists in mixing of components containing compounds of chromium, copper, aluminum hydroxide with additional compound, with subsequent molding, drying and calcination. The second method consists in impregnation of carrier including aluminum oxide with additional compound, solution of compounds of chromium and copper, drying and calcination.
