FIELD: rocket engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can find use in guided artillery projectiles with operating range up to several kilometers which flight trajectory comprises ballistic and controlled sections schematically divided by time moment corresponding to start of initiation of airborne control system. According to given process flight trajectory of projectile to specified range and switching on of initiation airborne unit are computed. Then computed time is entered into airborne timer of guided artillery projectile before launch and activation of timer with launch. Computed time is entered mechanically with simultaneous dismount of first safety device of unauthorized activation of control system and timer is switched on by use of airborne storage battery from inertial drive which operates under action of barrel overload with simultaneous dismount of second safety device. Airborne device is switched on by signal from timer and functional devices of control system are turned on by output signals of initiation airborne unit. Initiation of timer is provided at moment when output voltage of storage battery reaches specified level and operation time of timer is calculated by dependence tT = tc-tasb, where tT is operation time of airborne timer; tc is computed time of switching on of initiation airborne unit; tasb is time when airborne storage battery reaches specified level of output voltage. Ballistic cap carrying time fuse, separation unit with powder charge and electric igniter of powder charge is fitted with output initiation device and electric battery with starting mechanism. Time fuse comes in the form of electron timer connected to battery, starting mechanism has the form of inertial drive and initiation device comprises electronic keys which inputs are connected to output of timer and which outputs are connected to inputs of control system of projectile. Electric igniter of separation powder charge is connected to output of control system of projectile. Time fuse of artillery projectile includes with rotary element and timer with setting disc coupled to rotary element and is equipped with photoelectric transducer ANGLE-CODE. Timer comes in the form of pulse generator and counter which setting inputs are connected to outputs of transducer and which counting input is connected to output o generator. Setting disc has shape of optically clear limb with line-coded raster and is placed between radiators and light detectors of transducer and its bearing surface contacts base anchored in body and is installed uniaxially with rotary element which comes in the form of head part of nose cone of projectile and is fitted with scale. Angular positions of transducer and rotary element are oriented with reference to marks made on body. EFFECT: initiation of control system of guided artillery projectile in computed point of possible flight trajectories corresponding to different ranges to position of target. 3 cl, 4 dwg
