The data is an amount derived from the echo strength and a speed which is derived from a Doppler shift. An imaging circuit is coupled with the amount and speed corresp. to each other, to produce from this a trustworthy parameter, the value of which is a selectable function as well as the amount and the speed. A trustworthy parameter filter (74) produces radial filtered trustworthy data and a radial speed filter (77). A storage (82) records and reads out the radial filtered trust data and the radial filtered speed data, its capacity is sufficient for carrying out a selected number of successive acoustic radials. In addition a lateral trust parameter filter (85) and a lateral speed filter are provided. A spatial coverage strength filter (63) is provided which has a part sector storage e.g. of four or five banks, for amounts, speeds and variances, for all different depths. The different banks store successive radials.
