Removing boron from primary cooling circuit of a pressurized water reactor comprises removing cooling water from the primary cooling circuit, passing through an electrolysis module, in which boron is removed from the cooling water using anion-selective membranes and membrane electrolysis of cooling water, and feeding the diluate from the module back into the primary cooling circuit. An independent claim is also included for a device for removing boron from the primary cooling circuit of a pressurized water reactor.
