The machine has a series of printing mechanisms (1 to 6) using printing cylinders for printing on a web of materials. A damage prevention system, consists of a reflective sensor (7 to 14) fitted within each mechanism. If it detects a web tear occurring, it releases the printing cylinder contact with the web, and brakes the printing machine to prevent further damage.
