The method and equipment are used for generating and radiating 'interference' signals to defeat systems for ranging- or speed-measurement of objects with the aid of laser reflection. In addition to the laser signals reflected from the measurement system itself, additional (interference) signals are received. The additional signals are radiated in a direction of the laser measurement system by a number of optical emission components, which operate in the wavelength region of the measurement system to be 'interfered with'. The optical emission components are driven by at least two signal generators, which generate periodic signals and at least two of these periodic signals differ with regard to their fundamental frequency. An Independent claim is given for a device for generating and radiating 'interference' signals.
