An edge joint between multi-layered sheets (2, 3) that have rigid cover layers (9, 10) and a resilient core (8) is made by using an adhesive seam (4), which joins the core layer (8) of one sheet (2) to the other sheet (3) and also spaces the outer sheets (9, 10) at a distance corresponding to the thickness of the core layer (8). An independent claim is also included for an edge joint between multi-layered sheets made by this process.
