An ink cartridge (1) fits to an ink ductor (2) stretching across the whole width of the ink cartridge. An ink gauger (3) divided into several sections (3.1-3.x) fits on the ink cartridge's side facing the ink ductor. The ink gauger's sections make up ink zones fitted with ink dosing elements that place the ink gauge's relevant section at a defined distance from the ink ductor according to ink need in the corresponding ink zones, so that a dosing gap is formed between the ink ductor and the ink gauge along the length of the ink ductor.
