The method is for the production of a medical cover (F) from sheepskin and involves identically formed sections (S). The sectiosn are joined together along their lateral zones of the peripheral line. The medical cover is formed from four sections of sheepskin identical in shape. They are turned in pairs through 180 degrees in relation to each other and are sewn together by a thread seam along the lataral zones of the peripheral line. By this process, an equal seam overlap is produced between the turned adjacent sections. Through the particular form of the lataeral zones of the peripheral line of the sections, it is possible to approximate very well to the natural average shape (K) of a sheepskin.
