The extractive triboelectric measurement of dust and aerosols in gases comprises removing a partial gas stream from a dust-laden main gas stream; and drawing through a tubular triboelectric measuring chamber (5) provided with sensors (16) via an inlet cylinder. The dust and aerosol particles produce a charge exchange on the sensors and the gas stream leaves the chamber via an outlet support. An Independent claim is also included for a device for the extractive triboelectric measurement of dust and aerosols in gases. Preferred Features: The speed and the temperature of the gas stream entering the measuring chamber is held constant or varied. The partial gas stream tangentially enters the measuring chamber and moves towards the sensors in a cyclonic manner. The sensors are coated with low ohmic PTFE and have a semi-circular shape.
