The method involves using a radio interface organized in accordance with a time division duplex technique and determining the position of a first signaling channel in a time frame using the defined position of a second signaling channel within the time frame. The first signaling channel is used for the transmission of organization information. Independent claims are also included for the following: a base station system for a radio communications system for implementing the method.
