Colorant for fibers, especially human hair, is obtained by mixing an acidic component (A1) containing (hetero)aryl enamine(s) (I) or the acid addition salt (Ia), and an alkaline component (A2) containing carbonyl compound(s) and primary amine(s). Colorant for fibers, especially human hair, is obtained by mixing an acidic component (A1) containing (hetero)aryl enamine(s) of formula (I) or the acid addition salt of formula (Ia), and an alkaline component (A2) containing carbonyl compound(s) and primary amine(s): R1 = a mono- or polycyclic aromatic group, especially a 5-6-membered aryl or heterocyclic group, optionally substituted by 1-4 carbon (C) (hydroxy)alkyl, hydroxyl (OH), methoxy (OMe), dialkylamino or halogen; R2 = linear or branched 1-8 C (hydroxy)alkyl or 1-8 C (poly)alkoxyalkyl, R3 = linear or branched 1-8 C alkyl(ene), 1-8 C alkoxyalkyl(ene), oxygen (O), sulfur (S) or an imino (NH or NR) group; R = (hydroxy)alkyl, alkoxyalkyl or hydrogen (H); R4 = H or linear or branched 1-4 C alkyl; A- = an (in)organic acid anion; and N(R1)-C(R3) may = a group forming a cyclic compound. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method for temporary coloration of fibers, especially hair, by coloring with the colorant and decolorization at any later time by treatment for 5-60 minutes at 20-50 deg C with a formulation containing sulfite; (b) a multi-component kit comprising components (A1) and (A2).
