The method involves electrical power transfer between primary (1) and secondary (2) 3-phase voltage systems via a matrix converter (MC). The switching conditions in the matrix converter are determined by evaluating the parameters influencing the output currents of the primary 3-phase voltage system and the input currents of the secondary 3-phase voltage system over a sampling interval, for maintaining sinusoidal current characteristics.
