Light of two different wavelength are radiated into specimen medium (40) from light sources (11,11'). Based on measurement of light of each wavelength, not passing through the specimen, the intensity fluctuation of radiated light from source is adjusted. The concentration of contaminant is determined based on measured intensity of light. An Independent claim is also included for contaminant concentration determination apparatus.
