The aircraft fuselage has a pressure bulkhead (1) assembly between the pressurized cabin section (2) and the tail section which is at the ambient atmospheric pressure. It has at least one passage opening fitted with a barrier to give air pressure compensation in a hermetic seal, when the cabin pressure is greater than the ambient level. The barrier is opened when the air pressure compensation is below the critical air pressure for a bulkhead rupture.
