A device for receiving impurities such as oil or similar chemicals floating on bodies of water comprises several chambers (3) lying next to each other and separated by walls (2) arranged in a barge (1). The chambers have longitudinal openings with sliders (4) to close the openings in the upper region of the outer skin of the barge. Pumps (5), valves (6) and measuring probes are provided in the lower region. Preferred Features: The openings are arranged in the upper fifth of the barge.
