Method for operating a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device in which a first scout data set is produced from which a first view of the object being imaged is reproduced. After a time lag a second data set is produced with a corresponding view. A position change is calculated between first and second images and according to the calculated position change, at least one further view is recorded that corresponds to the same position in the first object view.
