Additives for improving the flow properties of mineral oils contain (A) oil-soluble ethylene/vinyl ester or ethylene/(meth)acrylate ester copolymers or (co)polymers of 10-30C alkyl esters of unsaturated carboxylic acids, (B) low-mol. wt. poly(3-5C olefin) and (C) alkylphenol-aldehyde resin or aliphatic and/or aromatic sulfonic acid. Additives for improving the flow properties of mineral oils, containing (A) 1-40 wt% of at least one oil-soluble copolymer which is a cold-flow improver for mineral oil, selected from (A1) copolymers of 80-96.5 mol% ethylene and 3.5-20 mol% vinyl esters of 1-20C carboxylic acids and/or (meth)acrylate esters of 1-8C alcohols and (A2) homo- or co-polymers of 10-30C alkyl esters of unsaturated carboxylic acids with up to 20 mol% other olefinically unsaturated monomers, (B) 20-80 wt% poly- alpha -olefin(s) with a mol. wt. of 250-5000, derived from 3-5C mono-olefins and (C) 5-70 wt% organic acid(s) selected from (C1) alkylphenol-aldehyde resins of formula (1), in which R1, R2 = H or 1-30C alkyl (not both H); R3 = H or 1-4C alkyl; n = 3-50 and (C2) aliphatic and/or aromatic sulfonic acids of formula R18SO3H in which R18 = 6-40C alkyl or alkenyl, or an alk(en)ylaryl group with 1, 2, 3 or 4 aromatic rings and 1, 2, 3 or 4 6-40C alk(en)yl residues . An Independent claim is also included for mineral oils containing 0.001-1 wt% additive as described above.
