The rotor blade angle evaluation method uses a processor supplied with data relating to the measured distance between each rotor blade or rotor blade surface and the mast (1) of the wind-powered energy plant (2), for providing the rotor blade angle using corresponding stored blade angle values. An Independent claim for an application of a distance measuring device for determining the distance of a rotor blade from a defined position, for evaluating the rotor blade angle in a wind-powered energy plant is also included.
