Production of contact collecting rails comprises: (i) pressing a contact collecting rail with electrostatically charged highly conducting metal powder on a glass plate and sintering; and (ii) placing the glass plate on the ITO layer of a solar cell and forming a contact between the metal bus and the solar cell. Preferred Features: Pressing of the rails is carried out electrophotographically or by screen printing. The metal powder is 5 nm to 500 mu m wide and 1 nm to 500 mu m thick on the glass plate. The metal powder is bound in a highly conducting thermoplast. The glass plate is flexible.
