The method involves optical measurement of condensate content in a main gas flow (12) at least partly passed through a measurement section (10) in which light of a defined intensity is passed through the gas. The light intensity is measured after transmission and the condensate content is derived from the measured intensity, the length of the transmission path and the wavelength of the light. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an apparatus for measuring condensate determining dew points in gases; (2) a method of measuring condensate and determining dew points in a gas turbine system.
