New dialkyne compounds (I) are trans-1,4-di-substituted cyclohexane compounds and heterocyclic analogues containing 1 or 2 oxygen (O) and/or 1 or 2 silicon (Si) atoms, with lateral dialkyne substituent(s) on the ring. New dialkyne compounds (I) are trans-1,4-di-substituted cyclohexane compounds and heterocyclic analogues containing 1 or 2 oxygen (O) and/or 1 or 2 silicon (Si) atoms, with lateral dialkyne substituent(s) on the ring, of the formula (I).
