The method for filling a silo (11) with bulk goods uses a telescopic filling pipe (16). This is positioned near the bottom of the silo at the start of filling and is raised during it, so that the outlet (26) is in contact with, or embedded in, a cone of the bulk goods throughout filling. An Independent claim is included for a device for use in the method.
